Becoming a Member Chestermere has a Fascinating Historical Story We have many new residents to the City of Chestermere and very few know how it came to be.  What an interesting story we have:  the opening of the West, the  Canadian Pacific Railway, the creation of the Western Irrigation District, cabin owners, Summer Village to a City.  The Chestermere Historical Foundation is preserving and presenting our unique history.
