2016 Boat Tour of the Lake

Inaugural Boat Tour of Lake No, this wasn’t the boat we used on the tour! Notice the lack of life jackets and the number of people in the canoe. How times have changed! Twenty-eight people enjoyed this inaugural event! It was a great success and all those involved enjoyed themselves. Members of the Chestermere Historical Foundation took turns giving presentations – photos included – on the historical significant of various sections of the lake and the diverse bird wildlife. Becoming a Member Chestermere has a Fascinating Historical Story We have many new residents to the City of Chestermere and very few know how it came to be. What an interesting story we have: the opening of the West, the Canadian Pacific Railway, the creation of the Western Irrigation District, cabin owners, Summer Village to a City. The Chestermere Historical Foundation is preserving and presenting our unique history. Membership fees are only $5.00.
