The Chestermere Lakefront Owners Association had its beginning in 1959 with the formation of the Chestermere Cabin Owners Association.  In 1959 the late Fred Paasche put up a notice in the Calgary Herald–he phoned 59 cabin owners and 50 people came to the first meeting. Suffice to say lots has changed, the name of the organization is now the Chestermere Lakefront Owners Association and there are way more than 59 owners around the Lake.  The group has a facebook which you can find here, and for the 60th Anniversary celebration held on July l20th 2019 at the Calgary Yacht Club, over 120 people celebrated something they all have in common, they either live, or lived on Chestermere Lake.  If you would like more information about this organization you can read the timeline history produced for the anniversary by Kathy Speck  Chestermere Cabin Owners History for 60th Anniversary K Speck Jul 2019 or contact ">Kathy Speck
